The Sewing Academy offers sewing classes for children age 7
and up and for beginners to more advanced sewers. Our students work
through the "Kids Can Sew" pattern series. This series includes a
variety of clothing patterns and craft sewing projects. Students are
also given the opportunity to do sewing projects outside the pattern
series. See our sewing projects page for projects and required supply
information.
*Classes are $15 an hour, $12.50 if you sign up with a friend or just $10 an hour if you sign up with a group of 3 or more.
*Students are asked to purchase pattern packets from the "Kids Can Sew"
series for $40. Each packet provides up to 50 hrs. of sewing time.
*Classes are held in 2 hour blocks of time.
*Students commit to attending for the FULL fall semester and attend 2x a
month, ie: Olivia will attend the 1st and 3rd Mondays of
every month.
*Tuition is due on a monthly basis and is due at the beginning of each month.
*We provide the teacher, machines, basic supplies (scissors, pins, etc.). One machine per student.
*Students provide their own fabric, elastic, ribbon, etc.
*There is one teacher for every 4 students w/an 8 student maximum per class and 2 student minimum.
*Students receive a discount from the shop they attend class at.
